"Days End" is a nostalgic look at childhood shared with ones 'best friend' set in a rural environment. After a long and exhausting midsummer jaunt, the two weary companions trudge slowly home, down a dusty country road and into the blazing face of the slowly setting sun. The scenery is breath-taking, with a ripening field of corn, the rainbow of colors in the sky and their home beckoning in the distance. Rounding the last bend, they are truly home again at "Days End".
